Resident Selection Criteria
All applications will be reviewed to assure compliance with the job requirements (key requirements and qualifications) listed in the USAJOBS announcement and to verify that all application components have been completed. Complete application packages will be sorted according to the three host areas of interest selected on the applications, and will be forwarded to selecting officials on the National Digital Stewardship Residency Selection Committee and at the National Digital Stewardship Residency’s partnering host institutions. The relevance of an internship at a host institution to the student’s academic and career goals will be considered as part of the evaluation of an applicant. Promising applicants will be contacted for phone interviews by the host institutions.
All selections shall be made solely on the basis of merit, fitness, and qualifications and without regard to political, religious or labor organization affiliation or non-affiliation, marital status, race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, non-disqualifying physical disability, age, or other non-merit factor. Consideration for selection shall be based on job-related competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities.
