The workshop aims to promote dialogue between the users from cultural institutions or authorities, and computer research, development and industry on a topic that is not only at national but also at international level of steadily growing importance. The papers should show the state of research and the implementation of the concepts. The joint discussion should open questions raised, account needs and suggestions for new areas of research are given. Possible topics for articles:
- Existing or emerging standards in the field of digital preservation
- Practical examples of the application and implementation of digital repositories
- scalable and automated method
- Metadata exchange formats and langzeitarchivierung suitable formats
- Acquisition and archiving of databases, business applications and Web sites with dynamic / multimedia content
