Emily Reynolds
Emily received a Master of
Science in Information from the University of Michigan School of Information,
where she specialized in archives and digital preservation.
While in school, Emily
worked on a map digitization project at the University of Michigan’s Clark
Library, as well as contributing to digital curation research at the
Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). Whether
working with digitized maps or social science research data, she is interested in the new forms of reuse and research made
possible by digitization and digital access.
Emily decided to apply for
the NDSR program following her experience as a Junior Fellow with NDIIPP. She
felt that the program would allow her to continue her education through
engagement with the professional community, as well as give her more experience
in managing a large-scale digitization initiative.
As the NDSR resident at
the World Bank Group Archives, Emily is overseeing daily digitization activity
as well as assisting in the launch of an Access to Memory (AtoM) site to hold
archival finding aids and digitized materials.
