Evaluate Delivery Options

DPOE continually investigates different models for delivery of educational materials, including self-directed online learning, interactive webinars, online course materials, and in-person workshops. Currently, all of our workshops are hosted on site, and training materials are provided to trainers online.

In our 2010 Needs Assessment Survey, respondents ranked their training format preferences as:

  • In person, small workshop focused only on training.
  • In person, large workshop with opportunities for networking.
  • Online, webinar.
  • Online, self-paced course.

Many respondents suggested other options for training. These included:

  • A discussion board with follow-up webinar
  • In-person training and conferences
  • Multiple small workshops
  • Written policies and manuals
