Description:
This webinar will introduce the fundamental concepts of film preservation, with a focus on identification, storage, and care of moving image materials. The history of film, its physical characteristics, and preservation reformatting will be addressed. Strategies for providing access to film collections in both analog and digital forms will also be covered.
Who should attend? This introductory webinar is designed for those with limited training in this subject, and those who are interested in a refresher. Staff and volunteers working in cultural heritage institutions are encouraged to attend, as are private collectors.
